Happy Birthday Eric!

A little while ago I made a cloth book for my friend's son. It was hand stitched, so it took a little while, but it was so much fun to make! Each page has a different activity - zipping, snapping, tying, buttons, and velcro. I had a lot of fun with it - here are some photos of the final thing!

And thank you, Jen, for taking such great pictures! :D

schoolism!

I've been taking an online class at schoolism.com for the past few months (taught by Bobby Chiu). It still has a few assignments left, but I figured I'd post the ones I've done so far! It's a really cool program and I've learned a lot of new techniques. For each assignment, we are given a starting point and then we apply whatever technique we are learning about to the piece to finish it off. So the first piece of each image is what we are given, and the second is of our finished work. So it's not necessarily about how to paint, but more about tools, techniques and tips to use while painting - which is perfect for me, and I've learned a lot so far!

Sorry for the image overload! I'll be posting the rest as I finish them so it won't be as crazy!

Don't Mind If I Do!

As much fun as the paper frames are to make, there's something very cool about setting these against a real glass frame!

I got a few interesting mats the other day and have a bunch of new ideas - if only I had more time!

rocking horse!

I just made this!
Yay!

Plus, a sneak peek of something I'm just about finished with:
